The complete website has now gone live with full log-in functionality for both parents and students and security is assured by SSL encryption. Payment for the courses is taken via a branded version of Barclays ePDQ payment gateway.
The complete website offers a free preview section for prospective customers to take a “sneek peak” at what they can expect to find on the courses. The course content is provided by a combination of both HTML and Flash and each individual course page has been optimised to allow users to print the pages easily and without un-necessary website design elements being printed out in addition to the course content.
The student’s log-in area also offers students the unique idea of their own 3D animated “trophy room” which is gradually populated with their own trophies as they complete each course of the five available. The trophy room, created in Flash, allows the students to also print out personalised certificates in recognition of their achievements. Communication between Flash and the ASP.Net back-end is provided by Web Services.
