Spacemaker Furniture is dedicated to providing the best furniture to meet your individual requirements. They aim to create the fitted bedroom, fitted bathroom or home office you have always dreamed about.

Spacemaker Furniture commissioned Enovate Design to create a dynamic and modern website to show off their impressive furniture and ultimately encourage visitors to purchase from Spacemaker rather than one of their competitors.

The furniture business is extremely competitive and the internet is generally the first point of call for the vast majority of prospective customers. With that in mind Spacemaker Furniture realised their existing website was not projecting an image they could be proud of and they felt their promotional and marketing budget was not being maximised by a dated and un-professional website that was missing the “wow factor”.

The concept behind the Spacemaker website was simple, “let the furniture speak for itself”. After looking through photography of Spacemaker’s furniture collections we realised our job was an easy one, the furniture would sell itself. It was clear the design of the site had to make maximum room for their photography to showcase the collections as best as possible. After all furniture is essentially a more visual product than anything else, text can’t sell a fitted bedroom but photos can.

So we designed a website that would make maximum room for Spacemaker’s photography. How was this achieved? We created a flexible design template that would adapt to the visitors screen resolution. If the visitor had a larger screen the design would expand and load in larger photos if the visitor had a smaller screen resolution the design would shrink and load in smaller photos. The result is a great user experience for all, irrespective of screen resolution.

The Spacemaker Furniture website also includes some innovative back-end features which provide reporting including weekly, monthly and yearly graphs for the number of brochure requests submitted and also integrates with Spacemaker’s Pay-Per-Click marketing campaign to record where visitors have originated from. This has enabled Spacemaker to identify where their online marketing spend is providing the best return on investment. The website allows prosepective customers to receive an online quote by providing a few details about the particular room they have in mind.

More recently we have implemented a postcode look-up feature on the contact form where visitors to the site only need enter their house name or number and their postcode and the site then returns their full address, this has helped to avoid user error and makes the contact form a faster process for visitors.
