Samdale are world leaders in the field of Professional Digital Mobile Radio, providing independent expertise and unique products to users and network operators around the globe.
Recently Samdale have taken a significant step forward with their expansion plans after receiving a significant investment from Dominion S.A. of Spain who acquired a 51% stake in the business. Dominion is one of the largest engineering and telecommunications groups in Spain with more than 1,500 staff, global operations and a turnover in excess of 500 million Euros.
Whilst Samdale increased its workforce and moved into larger, purpose built premises we made the suggestion that a content management system would enable Samdale to update their existing website (built by Enovate Design in 2005) more easily and it would be a more flexible foundation from which their website could grow as their business did.
With the go ahead from Samdale and an extremely tight deadline we worked tirelessly to migrate the existing HTML based site across to a content management system and within a week the entire site, exceeding 100 pages, had been migrated and was ready to go live.
We utilised the content management system framework to improve the way in which the news section of the site was handled by spreading the news items across a series of pages and outputting paging controls to allow users to navigate through them with ease.
